80th Anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy (1944-2024)

June 6, 2024 will mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings along the Normandy coast during World War II.

This event, which ultimately led to the liberation of Europe, will be commemorated

at the Alliance Française of Houston on Saturday, June 8, 2024,

starting at 5pm with a Cocktail session and

at 6pm with the screening of the exceptional documentary, directed by Pascal Vuong and produced by Catherine Vuong and N3D Land Films :

 

  "D-Day : Normandy 1944"

 

This is a free event and welcome to all.

Movie in French, narrated by the famous French actor François Cluzet, and with English subtitles.

D-Day: Normandy 1944 is a 43-minute 2D/3D documentary intended to general audiences. The film was awarded the Mission Liberation Label by the French government.

It was released (worldwide) in 2014 for the commemorations of the 70th Anniversary of D-Day. Since then, it was translated in 7 languages and awarded by 12 international prizes, it is still played in several museum in the world (mainly in North America and Europe).
