Guillaume Frerejean Taittinger, Co-founder of Frerejean Frères:

Baptized with champagne as a baby, Guillaume Frerejean Taittinger’s connection to the world of champagne began at a very early age. Having tasted his first cuvée at just six years old, Guillaume spent much of his childhood with his younger brothers, Rodolphe and Richard, riding bicycles through the vineyards of Champagne. The three brothers developed a deep affection and appreciation for the region and the winemaking process, a passion they continued to explore throughout their adult lives.

In 2005, they met the extraordinarily talented fifth-generation winemaker Didier Pierson in the village of Avize, in the heart of Champagne. Inspired by Didier’s craftsmanship, passion, and attention to detail, the brothers set out to create a new, unconventional champagne maison—one that was artisanal and pure, focused on producing small quantities of the world’s finest cuvées, with Didier at the helm. Thus, in 2005, Rodolphe, Guillaume, and Richard founded Frerejean Frères as the rebel maison of Champagne.

A family with a rich heritage, the brothers honor their Frerejean and Taittinger ancestries throughout the business. Their lineage includes prestigious cannon-makers who supplied the French army during the Napoleonic wars, a proud legacy that is reflected in the Frerejean Frères logo today.

Now 46 years old and serving as President of the business, Guillaume divides his time between Paris and Champagne, where he lives with his children. He manages many projects for the Frerejean Frères maison, focusing on the production side at the Avize headquarters and expanding the brand's presence around the world.
