Tour de France: Cheese & Wine Tasting
Embark on a flavorful journey across France during this guided tasting experience celebrating the country’s rich cheese-making traditions. Hosted by the Alliance Française de Houston in partnership with A Cheese Affair, this elegant evening will explore the distinctive flavors of eight iconic cheeses from different regions of France. Guided by cheese expert Randolph Daniels-Kolin(owner of A Cheese Affair, a specialty fromagerie located in Rice Village), guests will discover the history, regions, and traditions behind celebrated cheeses such as Langres from Champagne, Brie from Île-de-France, Fourme d’Ambert from Auvergne, Comté from the Jura, Beaufort d’Été from Savoie, Mimolette from Northern France, Ossau-Iraty from the Basque Country, and a classic goat cheese from the Loire Valley.
Each cheese will be thoughtfully paired with French wines, creating a refined tasting experience that highlights the diversity and artistry of France’s gastronomic heritage.
