Animal Tales of Christmas Magic is a unique animation project that brings together six female directors from
several different countries, most of whom have studied at top French schools such as La Poudrière or the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts
Décoratifs.
The film is produced by the French company Les Valseurs and coproduced by Luftkind in Germany. It is the first animated film for young
audience to have been coproduced by Arte in France. It has also been supported by several regional funds in France and Germany and by the
CNC and the FFA. Four studios have joined forces to produce the animation in Paris at Pulp studio, in Strasbourg at Amopix, on the Reunion
Island at Gaoshan, and in Germany in Hamburg at Fabian&Fred. The film premiered at the Annecy Festival in 2024 in official selection out
of competition in the new Annecy presents section.
