An Evening with Théo Ould: Concert & Talk
The Alliance Française de Houston is thrilled to present an intimate evening with Théo Ould, one of France's most exciting young musical talents and Villa Albertine 2025 Resident.
At just 24 years old, Théo Ould made history as the first accordionist to be nominated for the prestigious "Revelations" award at the Victoires de la Musique Classique. "His playing wonderfully merges virtuosity, refinement, and fantasy, pulling on all the sonic strings of the instrument, all delivered with astounding naturalness," praised Télérama.
Fresh from his North American tour with performances at the Celebrity Series of Boston, Festival Bach Montréal, and Princeton University, Théo brings his genre-defying artistry to Houston. This special concert and talk will take you on an extraordinary musical journey spanning centuries—from Johann Sebastian Bach's Baroque masterpieces to Astor Piazzolla's fiery tangos, with works by Bartók, Villa-Lobos, Rameau, and contemporary composers.
Théo Ould is redefining what the accordion can be in classical music, seamlessly bridging tradition and innovation with a voice entirely his own. Don't miss this rare opportunity to experience his electrifying performance and gain insight into his artistic vision through an engaging conversation.
