Cheese Tasting: The French Classics

Discover the flavors that have made French cheese celebrated around the world during The French Classics: Cheese Tasting Experience, an evening dedicated to the traditions, craftsmanship, and distinctive character of France’s most iconic cheeses.

Hosted by the Alliance Française de Houston in partnership with A Cheese Affair, this guided tasting will take guests on a journey through a carefully curated selection of classic French cheeses, showcasing different regions, styles, textures, and cheesemaking traditions.

Led by cheese expert Randolph Daniels-Kolin, owner of A Cheese Affair, a specialty fromagerie located in Rice Village, guests will learn about the origins, production methods, flavor profiles, and stories behind each selection while discovering what makes French cheesemaking so unique. 

A selection of French wines will be served alongside the cheeses to complement the tasting, while the focus of the evening remains on exploring and appreciating the flavors, textures, and traditions of French cheese.
