TEF Études or Other Uses (Modular French Proficiency Test)

The TEF – Other Uses is a flexible and fully modular French‑language proficiency exam designed to meet a wide variety of needs, including university admissions, professional requirements, skills assessment, and personal language evaluation. Developed by the Paris Île‑de‑France Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this version of the TEF allows candidates to select only the test components that are relevant to their goals.

Purpose of the TEF – Other Uses

Unlike other TEF formats that have fixed combinations of required sections, the TEF – Other Uses is entirely customizable. Candidates may register for one or several test components, depending on what is required by the institution or organization requesting proof of French proficiency.
