Gala 2026

Feb 28 // Past Event Highlights

On February 28, 2026, the Alliance Française de Houston had the privilege of welcoming a sold-out audience to our Annual Fundraising Gala at The Post Oak Hotel. Francophones, Francophiles, patrons of the arts, and leaders from across Houston gathered to celebrate the power of culture, language, and community.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Mary & Edgar Lovett Award to two extraordinary honorees: François de Menil, recognizing the remarkable legacy of John and Dominique de Menil and their transformative impact on Houston’s cultural life, and SLB, celebrating its 100th anniversary and its long-standing commitment to innovation, community, and cultural partnership.

For more than a century, the Alliance Française de Houston has served as a bridge between France, the Francophone world, and Houston. Thanks to the generosity of our community, our language programs and cultural events continue to grow and inspire thousands of learners and Francophiles each year.

Merci to our members, donors, sponsors, partners, board members, teachers, staff, and volunteers for making this unforgettable evening possible.

Together, we continue to celebrate Francophonie and strengthen the cultural ties that shape our city.
