An art therapy journey: Voyage au cœur du sensible

This summer, the Alliance Française of Houston was delighted to present a vibrant exhibition by Marie Deschamps, PhD. This colorful collection of original artwork was paired with the artist's own art therapy reflections, written in both French and English—the two languages woven together to offer a fuller, more nuanced way of seeing and sensing.

Rooted in themes of grief, resilience, hope, and transformation, the exhibition explored creativity as a path to meaning, connection, and healing, inviting visitors to discover therapy, art, and innovation from fresh perspectives.

About the artist:

Marie Deschamps, PhD, ATR-P, LPC-A, is a European art therapist, clinical researcher, and innovator exploring the intersections of creativity, healing, and technology. She is the creator of ICanFeel, an art-based digital health platform, and serves as a Visiting Scholar at The New School and North America Regional Director of IACAET. www.curiousarttherapy.com
