An art therapy journey: Voyage au cœur du sensible

This summer, the Alliance Française of Houston is delighted to present a vibrant new exhibition by Marie Deschamps, PhD. This colorful collection of original artwork is paired with the artist's own art therapy reflections, written in both French and English , the two languages woven together to offer a fuller, more nuanced way of seeing and sensing.

Rooted in themes of grief, resilience, hope, and transformation, the exhibition explores creativity as a path to meaning, connection, and healing, inviting visitors to discover therapy, art, and innovation from fresh perspectives.

About the artist

Marie Deschamps, PhD, ATR-P, LPC-A, is a European art therapist, clinical researcher, and innovator exploring the intersections of creativity, healing, and technology. She is the creator of ICanFeel, an art-based digital health platform, and serves as a Visiting Scholar at The New School and North America Regional Director of IACAET. www.curiousarttherapy.com
