Fête de la Musique at Alliance Française Houston
Join us for a vibrant evening of live music, community, and celebration as Alliance Française de Houston hosts its very first Fête de la Musique!
Originally created in France in 1982, Fête de la Musique is now celebrated in over 120 countries around the world. This global festival honors the joy of live music by bringing artists and audiences together in an open, festive atmosphere where music is accessible to all.
We are excited to bring this tradition to Houston with an evening featuring a variety of live performances in an intimate and lively setting. The highlight of the night will be a performance by the French Jazz Trio, featuring Greg Petito, Tianna Hall, and Woody Witt, who will present a sophisticated blend of jazz standards, French-inspired repertoire, and contemporary favorites.
In the spirit of Fête de la Musique, the evening will also feature special guest performances by Luis Patino, Mead Turner, Andrew Wheeler & Rachel Chao, and The Polish Duo (Dominika Dancewicz & Alina Klimaszewska). Together, these artists will present a rich variety of musical traditions and styles, creating a true festival atmosphere and reflecting the spirit of discovery, community, and musical exchange that defines Fête de la Musique.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a bar with wine and beverages available for purchase, making it the perfect setting to relax, connect, and celebrate the start of summer through music.
